ASof Music's Team of Teachers!
ADRIANA
Founder/Teacher
Founder and owner of ASofMusic, Adriana is a lifelong piano player with over 12 years experience. She is certified with the Royal Conservatory of Music, with a specialist in elementary and intermediate piano studies.
REBECCA
Teacher
Rebecca has been playing the piano since a very young age and has been teaching for over three years. She has completed her RCM studies and is attending school for veterinary medicine.
DEBRA
Teacher
Debra plays the piano and guitar and has participated in various exams, recitals, concerts and competitions. She has been teaching music for ten years and is a graduate of York University.
CAMERON
Teacher
Cameron has been playing piano for 15 years and teaching for 5. He studied music at McMaster University where he also played the trombone with the McMaster Jazz Band and McMaster Concert Band. Cameron also enjoys conducting a few community choirs and a church choir, as well as the playing the pipe organ.
JULIA
Teacher
Julia has been playing piano since the age of 7 and has been teaching for 3 years. She enjoys playing all kinds of music on the piano, from classical to popular, but one of her favourites is My Heart Will Go On. Julia is a graduate of McGill University and will be starting pharmacy school at UofT. She loves to cook, read, and spend time outdoors.

Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS THE BEST AGE TO START PIANO?
Our recommended age is 6, however some children are able to start at age 4 or 5. Interest, attention span, motor skills, hand size are all factors to think about when starting lessons.
I AM 50+ CAN I START LESSONS AT THIS AGE?
Of course! If you have an interest in learning the piano, it is NEVER too late to start, all ages are welcome!
DO I NEED A PIANO AT HOME?
Yes, you will need a piano OR keyboard at home. If the student is a beginner, a small keyboard is fine to start. However, as a student progresses to higher levels, a piano or weighted keyboard might be needed.
WHAT IS MY ROLE, AS A PARENT?
Parents can assist and encourage their children by scheduling a time for regular practice, listening to their children play new pieces and have at-home concerts for family or friends.
